imagePESHAWAR: The weather of Peshawar and Nowshera districts turned pleasant after Risalpur received heavy rain with thundershowers in the wee hours of Tuesday.

According to Meteorological Department Spokesman here, Risalpur in Nowshera district was lashed by heavy downpour this morning and received 45 millimeter rain. The residents took sigh of relief from the oppressive and hot weather and came out from homes to parks to enjoy pleasant change in the weather.

The children also came out from their homes along with their families and enjoyed themselves in parks. The clouds are still hovering over Nowshera and Peshawar districts with chances of more rain with thunder showers are still persist.

The Spokesman said Islamabad (saidpur) has also received 39mm rain followed by Lower Dir 17, Muzaffarabad 16, Kotli 10, Kakul 8, Gujrat, Rawalpindi 5, Balakot, Khuzdar 4, Malamjabba 3, Murree, Saidu Sharif and Dir 2mm respectively.

He said seasonal low lies over Northwest Balochistan and adjoining areas whereas monsoonal currents from Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal are reaching into central and upper parts of the country.

In next 24 hours, rain-thundershower is expected at scattered places of Upper Punjab including Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Upper KP and Kashmir while at isolated places of Kohat, Kalat, Multan, Faisalabad, Sahiwal divisions and lower Sindh.

Heavy falls are also expected at a few places of Upper Punjab, Upper KP and Kashmir during this period. Abottabad, Thandayani, Nathia Gali, Swat, Malakand, Kohat, Parachinar and Peshawar are likely to receive rain.

Likewise, in next 48 hours, rain-thundershower is predicted at scattered places of Upper Punjab including Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Upper KP and Kashmir while at isolated places of Kohat, Kalat, Multan, Faisalabad, Sahiwal divisions and lower Sindh.

Weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country. However, rain-thundershower occurred at isolated places of Islamabad, Upper Punjab, Upper KP, Kalat division and Kashmir in last 24 hours.

Dalbandi with 46 degree C remained the hottest places of the country followed by Nokkund 45 degree C, Sibbi 44 degree C, Sukkur and Bhakkar 43 degree C while pollen count yesterday recorded as 1624/m3 respectively.
