imageBAD HONNEF: Lufthansa's budget carrier Germanwings will be spared strike action from cabin crew for the time being as labour union Ufo said on Saturday it plans to continue talks with management on a new wage agreement.

The Independent Flight Attendants Organisation (UFO), representing around 700 cabin crew at Germanwings, said at a press conference near Bonn that it hoped to achieve a new pay deal with Germanwings in the next four weeks.

UFO wants a 5 percent salary increase, a cut in number of temporary working contracts and the possibility for Germanwings cabin crew to transfer to parent Lufthansa.
