KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), chief Altaf Hussain has welcomed the move announced by the heads of police and rangers for making Karachi free of illegal weapons.
In a statement issued by MQM here on Wednesday, Altaf assured his full co-operation for the drive to recover illegal arms in Karachi.
He said that the MQM had been against all forms of terrorism and it would continue to support any action taken for establishing durable peace in Karachi and protecting the people.
He called upon the MQM workers to co-operate with the police and rangers and advised them to hand over at the local police stations,any illegal weapons in their possession.
