KARACHI: The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Sindh, Fayyaz Ahmed Leghari, has directed that the security be reinforced.
He was chairing a high level meeting at the Central Police Office (CPO) here on Thursday.
A police statement said that the meeting reviewed the law and order situation.
The IGP directed that the security measured be strengthened further.
He also instructed that the drive against the criminal elements be beefed up and made effective.
Leghari also sought the performance report of the Karachi police, Crimes Branch, SIU, AVCC, ACLC within 24 hours.
He also instructed that there should be proactive policing, the statement added.
