ISLAMABAD: Chairman China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority Lt-General Asim Saleem Bajwa (retired) Wednesday said that some detractors were giving false impression of the project being slowed.

He said that the pace of work on the CPEC projects had recently been picked up, and the scope of the project had been enhanced. In a tweet, the chairman CPEC Authority said that a great deal of groundwork had been done to launch phase two of the project.

He said that the upcoming projects include $7.2 billion ML-1, two hydel power projects investing $ 3.5 billion, special economic zones, and agricultural projects.
