NA passes Budget 2019-20 after 176 MNAs vote in favour of it

The National Assembly approved on Friday the Budget 2019-20 after a span of more than two weeks since it was presented by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Government on June 11 with a total outlay of Rs7.02 trillion.

Following the debate on the budget, parliamentarians voted on the passing of the budget today on the directions of the NA Speaker Asad Qaiser. 176 members of the national assembly (MNAs) voted in favour of it while, 147 MNAs opposed it.

Following the vote, NA speaker announced that the bill is now adopted by the House.
