A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was made between Liaqat University of Medical & Health Sciences Jamshoro and Brain Trust United Kingdom at LUMHS Jamshoro. The Vice Chancellor LUMH Professor Noshad A. Shaikh expressed that the MoU is made in view of the dearth of mental health facilities in interior of Sindh province as there is an acute need of promoting awareness, producing mental health professionals, increasing the opportunity of psychiatric research, developing specialists trained in subspecialties of psychiatry and providing newer methods of psychiatric treatment.
Professor Ahmad Ali Khan President Brain Trust Chapter for Pakistan, India and Bangladesh signed the MOU and expressed that the MOU will serve to enhance the improvement in mental health facilities, provide trained mental health professionals in all related fields and to enhance psychiatric research.
