A notorious robber with head bounty of one million rupees was killed and a cop injured in exchange of fire with police here on Wednesday. SSP Javed Jasmkani said the police came across robbers in Pijo area of Nawabshah. The robbers upon sight of police started firing injuring a cop and tried to flee. In retaliatory action of police, notorious robber Khanzada Raho with head bounty of Rs 1 million was killed. The body and injured policeman were shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities.
The robber killed in fire exchange was wanted by police in dozen of case of robberies and other serious crimes. Two of his cohorts were killed in police encounter a couple of days earlier, the police said.
