Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) though strong in District Kasur traditionally but losing its strength later on particularly in area of Pattoki Tehsil, gained much strength when a number of politicians holding posts in political set-up of PML-N and PML-Q there joined the party with a large number of supporters here on Saturday.
Amongst those who joined PPPP in presence of party senior leader Sardar Asef Ahmed Ali former Foreign Minister, Qasim Zia head of PPPP Punjab were Amjad Ali Mayo Advocate, Noor Hasan Advocate, Muhammad Shukkar Bari, Hamid Nazir Advocate, Makhdoom Hasan Raza Kazmi, Chaudhry Ahsan Nizam, Madam Tahira. All politicians who joined PPPP held different portfolios in their previous parties have undertaken to serve the new party with full commitment.
Sardar Asef Ahmed Ali speaking on the occasion said that prevailing circumstances speak loud of giving role to popular political forces that could take the country out of fiasco as it was now in, he added.
He said PPPP was the party of masses and would give additional surprises like the one that was given in the shape of area stalwarts joining the party in other areas of Punjab and would emerge victorious in the forthcoming Local Bodies elections, he added.
Navid Chaudhry Secretary Information PPPP Punjab and other leaders of the party were present on the occasion.
