Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi has expressed that Saqlain Mushtaq was doing his job and he was not a traitor.
Former T20I captain Shahid Afridi called people to ‘respect’ the former Pakistan spinner for his “job as a coach” and not label him as a ‘traitor’.
Afridi took to his official account Twitter and said,
After a series-leveling Test win against Pakistan, England coach Trevor Bayliss has expressed his desire to yet again hire off-spin great Saqlain Mushtaq as the country's bowling consultant.
Saqlain Mushtaq after his coaching skills was appreciated by England all-rounder Moeen Ali calling him “great coach and a great guy”.
However, Saqlain, who is also referred to as the inventor of ‘doosra’, had joined the English camp during the second game of the four-Test series at Old Trafford to aid England's spinners and help the home batsmen in their playing of slow bowling.
