imagePakistan celebrated their victory over England in the first Test at Lord's on Sunday by performing a series of press-ups although defeated England skipper Alistair Cook admitted it wasn't pleasant viewing.

According to Daily Mail, England Captain Alastair Cook said, ‘I didn’t take offence, but certainly at that moment in time it’s not pleasant for the first 20 minutes when you’ve just lost a game of cricket. They’re entitled to do what they want. Obviously it’s united them and it shows what a challenge we’ve got in the next game. But the cricketing gods…’

"Certainly when you've lost a game of cricket for the first 20 minutes or so it's not pleasant."

The losing captain was quoted by Cricket Australia website where the 31-year-old said that he will use the memory of the Pakistan team’s celebration as motivation ahead of the second Test, which will start from Friday at Old Trafford.

“It’s never nice losing at Lord’s, and seeing the opposition celebrating like they were at the end, so we’ll use that as motivation,” said Cook. You don’t take offence, but certainly at that emotive time in the first 20 minutes or so after the game, it isn’t pleasant viewing when you’ve just lost,” he added.

"They (Pakistan) are entitled to do what they want. It's united them and shows what a challenge we've got." But Cook, speaking ahead of next week's second Test in Manchester.

"Hopefully the cricketing gods might (turn in our favour at Old Trafford)."

Misbah had celebrated in similar fashion on Day- one after reaching a hundred that helped set up his team's 75-run win. "The team was really hoping that we get a chance, because I got a chance after scoring a hundred," said Misbah, the oldest man to score a Test hundred in 82 years, of his press-up celebration."I did that and everybody wanted to do that. That sends a small tribute to all those army men who were working really hard (with us)."

However, this was the first of four test matches that Pakistan will play against England. The second test match will be played between both sides on July 22 at Old Trafford.
