ISLAMABAD: Chairman Board of Investment (BOI) Miftah Ismail on Thursday said the speedy work on China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)'s western route has been started.
It was beyond understanding that why some elements were making CPEC as controversial as all the provinces would acquire equal benefits from the corridor, he said while talking to PTV.
Miftah Ismail said US $ 46 billion investment through CPEC would bring economic revolution in the country, and termed the corridor as game changer form the country and region. CPEC would help to overcome energy shortage from the country, he added.
Chairman BOI stated China is keenly interested to invest in Pakistan due to the prudent policies of the government, which provided conducive environment to the foreign investors.
Replying to a question, he assured that conditions of service of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) employees would not be disturbed.
He said the government strategic partner, after buying PIA, would provide better and comfortable services to the passengers besides improving image, repute and efficiency of the airline.
He assured that the process of privatization of PIA would be held in transparent manner.
