SIALKOT: Preparations to celebrate Youm-e-Azadi in full swing as school children, citizens, officials were preparing with colourful dresses, flags to mark the day with zeal and zest.
Like other parts of the country, the citizens of Sialkot have been kicked off preparations to celebrate Youm-e-Azadi with enthusiasm. Small vendors were installed small flags, posters, banners at their shops in downtown. Schoolchildren showed keen interest to buy small flags, posters and banners to decorate their homes, books etc.
Car-owners, motorbikes riders were displayed small flags and posters at their vehicles.
As forthcoming local bodies election ahead, the candidates displayed banners and billboards of Azadi Mubarik in their defined constituencies.
In educational sector, Government College Women University Sialkot, Govt. Murray College Sialkot, other colleges and all private and governmental schools were preparing national songs and other items to present on August 14 at their respective school or college.
Sunni Tehrik was organizing its workers for Pakistan Zindabad Reilly that would be held on August 14. At the other side, government organizations have been started preparations for their official ceremonies for Pakistan Day.
