ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Monday urged the members National Assembly to express solidarity with the martyrs of security forces, during the last three years in war against terrorism, on August 14.
In an announcement made in the National Assembly, the Speaker said that he had written a letter to the honorable members of the Lower House and a list has also been attached with the letter containing names of security forces who embraced Shahadat during the last three years for the national cause.
"I have written a letter and a detailed list of names alongwith lists of constituencies from where the martyrs belong who laid their lives in this war against terrorism during the last three years," he urged the members to visit their houses in order to pay homage to the martyrs (Shuhadaas).
He said that it was decided to express solidarity with the martyrs of Pak Army, Rangers, Police, ASF and Civil Society.
