ISLAMABAD: Former fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar said Pakistan had got an ideal fast bowling combination with Umar Gull, Muhammad Irfan and Junaid Khan.
"This bowling combination can trouble any team," said Rawalpindi Express while talking to a private TV channel.
He said in his opinion Umar Gull was not fully fit and it will take some time before he come in full rhythm but despite that he performed really well in the match.
"Gull will have to manage himself for maintaining his fitness as problems will emerge every now and then," Akhtar added.
He said Hafeez seemed to be confuse in his running between the wicket as he was becoming habitual of getting others run-out.
Former Test player Sikander Bakht said opening with two fast bowlers was a correct decision that helped Pakistan winning the match.
He said the national team's fielding was also better than Sri Lanka, adding, Afridi should be introduced early in every match.
Test player Muhammad Yousuf said criticism had yielded results as now everyone was performing which was a good sign for the team.
He said the winning combination of the team should be maintained in the next ODI, however, if Pakistan win the series, youngsters should be given a chance in the last match.
Yousuf said Sharjeel and Sohaib had potential and that they should be encouraged.
