imageHYDERABAD: Sindh Chief Minister Sayed Qaim Ali Shah has said that if Pakistan is to take on the road to progress and prosperity, we all would have to make concerted efforts to provide it with skilled and trained manpower.

He said this while speaking as a chief guest on the occasion of 52nd Parents day celebrations at Cadet College Petaro on Wednesday.

He said " We have to respond to the trend of time and keep pace with the rapidly changing and developing present day world".

" We have to produce educated and enlightened people with sound character and true patriotism," he said.

The CM said that we should acquire and excel in scientific and technical knowledge, especially in information technology so that we can face the challenges of the modern era.

He further said that the progress report presented by the principal in his speech reflects the excellent performance of the college during last academic year.

The CM announced Rs 20 million and an ambulance for the college.

Earlier, the Commandant and Principal Commodore Muhammad Afzal Malik presented the annual report. The chief guest also distributed the awards among the cadets and college staff.

The Championship Trophy was won by Shahbaz House and Ayub House received Runners Up Trophy.

The chief guest also inaugurated the exhibition and sport pavilion. Ministers, Army and naval officers, dignitaries, parents, staff and their families attended the function.
