imageOSLO: Budget carrier Norwegian Air Shuttle has held new talks with its striking pilots but no solution was found to the six-day conflict, a spokeswoman said on Thursday.

"There was contact during the night," Anne-Sissel Skaanvik said. "The positions taken by the parties remain far apart."

The Parat labour union was not immediately available for comment.

At least 650 pilots are currently on strike, grounding many of the airline's domestic flights in Norway, Sweden and Denmark, and between the three countries, while intercontinental flights and some European routes go as planned.
