iPhone’s popular image editing app Prisma, the amazing app which transforms a digital image into a piece of art in seconds, is coming to Android as it made its way to Google Play store on Sunday.
Prisma was first launched on iOS, and was quick in becoming a rage among the artistic lot, because of its hand sketch-like effects. The 7MB app is now available for free, and requires Android 4.1 KitKat OS and above versions to run, as per the Times of India.
The company released the beta version of Prisma last week to a selected user base for testing purpose and getting feedback. Now Prisma Labs have released the fully functional application to the public.
To use this amazing editing tool, all users need is to simply click an image from their smartphone front or rear camera and choose the effects they want to apply, and the magic happens.
Users get almost 36 filters, i.e. Pablo Picasso, Monet, Edvard Munch, Van Gogh, Levitan and Kandinsky. However, applying these filters on images might consume some minutes for the first time.
Other than that, the International Business Times revealed that the company is working on a 360-degree view and a video filter, which it might release in the coming weeks. Prisma is now available in Apple iOS and Google Android versions, but there is no word on when it will be made available in the Windows mobile version.
