  • "Sadly, I would have expected the world to react much more than it has,” PM said.
  • He said UN, Russia, China, US should step forward and play their role in IoK crisis.
  • "Unfair to Pakistan for being blamed by the US for its own setbacks in Afghanistan," he added.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has said he had expected the international community to react more than it had regarding the humanitarian crisis in Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK).

In an exclusive interview to RT Paula Slier, the premier said that he fears that the situation in the IoK could soon spiral out of control. He further said that India annexed the region unilaterally and it seems that Bharatiya Janata Party-led government has decided to use sheer force to subdue and oppress the people and intimidate them to accept the illegal act.

The prime minister further said eight million people are currently under siege in Kashmir and there is no news coming out of there. "Some 4,000 people have been picked by Indian forces in Kashmir," the PM added. The premier further said that he was sad to see how the international community responded towards IoK crisis.

"Sadly, I would have expected the world to react much more than it has. I feel that markets, trade, material gains – I’m sad to say – are much more important than human beings to the world," the premier added. He said that the only the United Nation has the responsibility to act now. He added that th US, France, Germany, China,Russia and other countries step forward to play their role.

Unfair to Pakistan for being blamed by US for its own setbacks in Afghanistan: PM

The prime minister said that it is unfair to Pakistan that it is being blamed by the United States for its own setbacks in Afghanistan. The premier said that had Pakistan not participated in the US war after 9/11, it would not have become the world’s dangerous country. He further said that Pakistan took a serious hit after joining the US-led global campaign against terrorism.

He said he was against Pakistan participating in the war and should have been neutral. “We lost 70,000 people. We lost over $100 billion [from] the economy. And in the end, we were blamed for the Americans not succeeding in Afghanistan. I felt it was very unfair to Pakistan,” he said.
