FM Qureshi meets newly appointed foreign secretary

After assuming charge as the new Foreign Secretary Sohail Mehmood called on Wednesday Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Islamabad.

The FM felicitated Mehmood on assuming charge after former secretary Tehmina Janjua retired. FM Qureshi said that Mehmood has a long experience of serving at important positions including as the high commissioner to India.

The newly appointed foreign secretary assured the FM that make he would make his utmost efforts to perform his duties to the best of his capabilities, local media reported. During the meeting, the two also discussed different contours of the foreign policy.
