The fourth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been a hell of an exhilarating ride giving us thrilling encounter and moments of joy and a whole lot of anxiety.

However, this all comes to an end tonight (Sunday) as Quetta Gladiators meet Peshawar Zalmi one last time this year at the much anticipated finale at National Stadium Karachi.

On paper, both sides are evenly matched as the two closed of the round stage with equal points i.e. 14 points each. Both sides have two of the best captains of the league, Quetta Gladiators being led by Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed and Windies superstar Daren Sammy leading the Peshawar Zalmi.

Talking about the Gladiators, which have managed to become the most consistent sides in the league’s history, having finished runner-up in 2016 and 2017, but will need a one last push tonight to claim the trophy.

For Gladiators, the greatest boon in this season has been that they are playing with their complete team, especially the arrival of Australian all rounder Shane Watson, who announced that he would be touring Pakistan finally has significantly increase Gladiators chances this year.

Watson at the moment is enjoying one of the best forms that he has been, and has been admitted as the biggest threat by the opposition skipper Daren Sammy, the Aussie performance tonight can well be the deciding factor.

Talking about, the Sarfraz Ahmed-led side will need a much stronger show from its lower middle order, as it has been reliant on its top three, the skipper in particular should play his hand with the bat tonight.

Whereas, the Gladiators will also feature a potent bowling attack, including the T20 specialist Sohail Tanvir, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Irfan Jr., and Mohammad Asghar.

Coming to the Yellow Storm, the Peshawar Zalmi batting line heavily relies on one of PSL's most successful batsman Kamran Akmal and all-rounder Kieron Pollard. The side would also need another big innings from Sammy, who has been facing fitness issues, and has not bowled yet in the tournament.

Zalmi’s bowling artillery is probably their biggest strength, and by far the best fast bowling line in the league with the likes of Wahab Riaz, Hasan Ali and English speed machine Tymal Mills and Chris Jordan more than capable to rupture any batting line.
