PM Khan pays tribute to Pakistanis for raising Rs10bn for dams' funds
Prime Minister Imran Khan paid tribute on Tuesday to the generosity of the people for raising Rs 10 billion for the Diamer-Basha and Mohmand Dams.
The premier took to his Twitter handle and shared a picture of the amount accumulated by different banks for the development of Diamer-Basha and Mohmand Dams. "I would like to pay tribute to the generosity of the people of Pakistan for raising Rs 10 billion for the dams' fund," PM Khan wrote.

The sum so far gathered under 'The Supreme Court of Pakistan and the Prime Minister of Pakistan Diamer-Basha and Mohmand Dams fund' is 10,007,099,978. Last year, former Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar had launched a campaign to collect funds for the construction of the Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand dam. The top court had also ordered that an account be opened for the purpose of collecting donations for the dams.
