Pakistan committed to peace sans any compromise on sovereignty: Asad Umar

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Asad Umar on Thursday said that Pakistan remained committed to peace sans any compromise on its sovereignty.

“Pakistan remains committed to peace while resolute in defence of our sovereignty for which we have demonstrated both our capacity and will,” the minister said in a tweet here Thursday.

He said Pakistan and India were at crossroads of history and it was up to the leadership of both the nations to decide where to lead the two countries, towards peace and prosperity or conflict.

He said: “We are at the cross-road of history. Leadership of India and Pakistan need to decide if we want to lead our nations towards peace and prosperity or conflict."
