MIRPURKHAS: Additional Deputy Commissioner Mirpurkhas, Syed Atta Ullah Shah on Friday said that collective efforts were needed in fight against polio and everyone should play his due role to avoid future disabilities in our country.
He expressed his views while presiding over the meeting here, to review the arrangements for anti-polio campaign which would start from January 21 to 24, 2019 in the district.
He informed that 297,944 children up to five years would be vaccinated in the campaign. And 54 UMOs, 166 Area In-charges, 782 teams, 609 mobile teams, 105 fixed teams, 68 transit points and 205 motorcycle teams have been formed in this regard.
District Health Officer Dr Muhammad Umar said that all possible measures would be utilized to make the anti-polio campaign successful and no negligence will be tolerated. Officials of Health Department and Assistant Commissioners were also present in the meeting.
