Collaborative efforts to ensure socioeconomic empowerment of youth
ISLAMABAD: A high level meeting Thursday agreed to undertake collaborative and coordinated efforts for socioeconomic empowerment of youth across Pakistan.
In a meeting with Provincial Ministers on Youth Affairs, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Muhammad Usman Dar said it is for first time that all provincial stakeholders are being consulted on youth affairs.
The meeting was held to develop a collaborative strategy for youth development.
Provincial Ministers for Youth Affairs & Sports KP, Muhammad Atif Khan, Muhammad Taimoor Khan Bhatti (Punjab), Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab on Youth Affairs, Haroon Ahmed Khan, Secretary Sports & Youth Affairs Sindh, Malik Umar Farooq, Director General Sports & Youth Affairs Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Khawaja Muhammad Naeem Bismil and Deputy Director Youth Affairs, Gilgit Baltistan (GB) Salma Aziz attended the meeting.
The provincial ministers appreciated efforts of Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs in pro-actively reaching out provinces/regions during formulation of uniformed youth strategy which includes development of a National Youth Development Framework.
Usman Dar thanked the ministers and representatives for their valuable input and willingness to work jointly with Federal government for betterment of young people.
