ISLAMABAD: Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar on Friday said there was a need to increase women's participation in electoral process.
He was addressing a ceremony held in connection with National Voters' Day in Lahore, Radio Pakistan reported.
He said that the purpose of celebrating this day is to highlight the importance of vote in the public, particularly among women.
He said there was a need to arrange special campaign for registration of female voters.
