President for strict adherence to principles of merit, transparency to ensure good governance      

ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi Wednesday called for strict adherence to the principles of merit, fairness, justice and transparency to ensure good governance in the country.

He was talking to Chairman Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) Naveed Akram Cheema, who called on him here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.

The President emphasized that FPSC had an important role to play in the restructuring and strengthening of civil services of the country.

He appreciated the efforts of FPSC and hoped that the commission would continue to strive towards introducing positive changes.

The Chairman FPSC also presented annual performance report of the FPSC to the President.
