Pakistan continues to retain the number one spot at the MRF Tyres ICC T20I Men’s Team Rankings with 130 points, holding a four-point lead over second-placed Australia, with India placed at third after gaining two points in the latest update.  

“There were, in fact, no changes in the top seven positions, but the big development was down at number eight, where Afghanistan are the new entrants,” stated ICC.

Meanwhile, The Island Nation, Sri Lanka that earlier ranked eighth have slipped to ninth spot after losing four points following the update. The cricketing world newest entrant Afghanistan, has moved up the table and is placed eighth on the list with 87 points.

Pakistan will play against Ireland, which will be their first-ever Test against Pakistan from May 11 to May 15 in Dublin. Pakistan will then play two Tests against England at Lord’s from May 24 to May 28 and Headingley from June 1 to June 5.
