Meanwhile, Petroleum Crude imports also decreased by 27.01 percent as its imports came down from $1,486,747 thousand in the said period of current year to $1085, 245 thousand in the corresponding period of last year.
The overall food imports into the country increased by 44.53 percent from $2088.960 million last year to $3019.072 million during the current fiscal year.
Textile Machinery imports decreased by 8.29pc, worth $140,512 thousand as compared to the imports of valuing $153,214 thousand of the corresponding period of last year.
In terms of quantity, the exports of tobacco however witnessed decrease of 2.27 percent by going down from 2,949 metric tons to 2,882 metric tons, according to the data.
The imports into the country during the period under review also increased 1.29 percent by going up from $19.175 billion last year to $19.422 billion during the current fiscal year.
