Baqir appreciated the role of Overseas Pakistanis for their role in maintaining the growth in remittances. “We have to thank Overseas Pakistan for the unparalleled growth we are seeing in our remittances,” he said.
He said Rs 1.2 trillion were provided to support different sectors especially the disadvantaged segments of the society in the wake of breakout COVID-19.
Accordingly, many economists see further monetary easing next year, given the relatively weak fiscal support from the government to pull the economy out of its first recession in nearly three decades.
