imageEx-Australia batsman Stuart Law is all set to take over the coaching job at Pakistan. The PCB will make an official announcement later this week, as per media reports.

According to India Today report, The Board of Governor’s met in Lahore on Tuesday and confirmed Stuart Law as the frontrunner for the job while former Australia Andy Moles’s has been kept as a back-up.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) seems to have made a decision on the new head coach of Pakistan national team, but the name is yet to be revealed.

A number of foreign coaches have been considering for the job, including Peter Moore (England), Mickey Arthur (South Africa), Dean Jones, Tom Moody, Stuart Law, Jamie Siddons (all Australia), Grant Flower and Andy Flower (both Zimbabwe).

The post fell vacant after Waqar Younis decided to step down as the coach of the national team following a poor performance in the World T20. Pakistan's also failed to impress in the Asia Cup. Recently, Former England coach Peter Moores has already turned down an opportunity to succeed Waqar Younis as the new Pakistan head coach.

However, Stuart Grant Law has played one test and 54 One-Day Internationals for Australia. Law is currently acting as Australia’s interim batting mentor for the Sri Lanka tour in July- August. As per India today report, he submitted his application for the post of coach with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) before the April 25 deadline.
