NAIROBI: Kenya's central bank sought on Monday to absorb 1 billion shillings ($11.6 million) in excess liquidity using repurchase agreements (repos).
The bank has been using repos most of this year to take out liquidity and support the shilling, which is 0.9 percent weaker than the dollar in the year-to-date, Thomson Reuters data showed.
