KARACHI: Three ships carrying containers, wheat and furnace oil were allotted berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal, FAP Terminal and FOTCO Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
Meanwhile two more ships schedule to load/offload containers are also arrive at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 65 percent at the Port Qasim on Thursday where total number of seven ships namely MV, OOCL Sanfrancisco, MV. Heckor, Liberty Grace, Genius Mariner, Stolt Courage, MV. Lahore and Bung Alamanda are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, wheat, cement, chemical, furnace oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 49,530 tonnes comprising 42,704 tonnes imports and 6,826 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 800 containers (Boxes) were handle at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
