ISLAMABAD: Pir Syed Makhdoom Abbas Muhammad Shah Hamdani and Syed Jabir Ali Shah of Bengali Sharif, Tehsil Gujjar Khan called on Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf at Prime Minister House here on Saturday.
The Prime Minister urged religious leaders, ulema and scholars to use their influence for the promotion of inter-faith harmony and cohesion in the country.
This was imperative to maintain peace, love, tolerance and brotherhood in the society.
The Prime Minister said the government was utilizing all available resources for the provision of basic amenities of life on priority basis in order to raise their standard of living and remove sense of deprivation especially of people living in remote and backward areas.
Pir Syed Makhdoom Abbas Muhammad Shah Hamdani and Syed Jabir Ali Shah of Bengali Sharif assured the Prime Minister of all their support and cooperation.
