The real estate sector Tuesday appealed to Prime Minister Imran Khan and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to provide financial package similar to the small traders to let them continue their businesses.

The prevalence of the Covid-19 virus and the measures needed to tackle it, have impacted many financial markets globally and realtors locally. "We commend our government in the measures it has taken to combat Covid-19 and request them to extend their assistance a little further to us," they added.

The current economic standstill has put immense burden on realtors in the daily running of their offices and homes. The currently decelerated market has brought the entire real estate sector of not only Sindh but also Pakistan in need of assistance in the form of a financial package from their provincial as well as the federal government if it is to survive and continue standing.

They requested the government to include realtors and real estate brokers in a similar package as was given to small traders to provide them with some support and relief to let them continue their businesses.

They appealed to the Prime Minister and Chief Minister of Sindh to take notice of the predicament the real estate sector is in. They urged the government to provide assistance at the earliest.-PR
