The Finance Ministry has set up a front desk in the ministry for receiving budget orders from the ministries and divisions for the next fiscal year, and has directed that only one relevant person along with summary of demands should approach the desk owing to threat of COVID-19 spread.

The ministry issued procedure for receiving budget orders/new item statements for the next fiscal year (2020-21) and stated that keeping in view the present scenario of COVID-19 and for the safely of all, the decision has been taken that for reconciliation of budget orders and new item statements for the next fiscal year, only one relevant person along with detailed object-wise summary of the concerned demands will approach the front desk of the Finance Division to handle all budgetary issues.

The Finance Ministry has also fixed dates for submission of budget orders from Monday (April 27) to Thursday (May 7) for ministries and divisions and Cabinet Division, Aviation Division, Establishment Division, National Security Division, Poverty Alleviation, Prime Minister's Office as well as Board of Investment, Prime Minister's Inspection, and Atomic Energy, on Monday (April 27).

On Tuesday, Commerce and Textile Division, Climate Change, Communications Division, Defense Division, Defence Production Division, and Power Division would submit their budget orders for the next fiscal year.

Petroleum Division, Federal Education and Professional Training, Finance Division and CGA, Finance Division and National Savings, Higher Education Commission, and Economic Affairs Division have been asked to submit their budget orders and new item statements on Wednesday.

On Thursday April 30, Revenue Division and the FBR, Customs and Inland Revenue, Foreign Affairs Division, other expenditure of Foreign Affairs Division, Housing and Works and Civil Works.

On Friday, May 1, 2020, Estate Office and Federal Lodges, Human Rights and Industries and Production, Department of Investment Promotion, and OlE Industries Production, Information and Broadcasting and Directorate of Publications, Press Information, Information Services Abroad, OlE Information Broad have been asked for submission of their budget orders for the next fiscal year.

On Saturday, National History and Heritage, Information Technology Division, Interior Division, Islamabad, Passport Organization, Civil Armed Forces, Frontier Constabulary, Pakistan Coast Guard, Pakistan Rangers, Interior Division Inter Provincial Coordination Division would submit their budget orders, and new item statement to the Finance Ministry.

Kashmir Affairs Division and Gilgit-Baltistan Division, Law and Justice, OlE Law and Justice Division, Council of Islamic Ideology, District Judiciary, NAB, Maritimes Affairs, Narcotics Control Division, National Assembly, and The Senate, would submit budget orders on May 3rd.

On Monday May 5, National Food Security, National Health Services and Regulation Division, Overseas Pakistani and Human Resource, Parliamentary Affairs Division, Planning and Development Division, Postal Services Division, Privatization Division, Religious Affairs and Inter-Faith Harmony Division, Science and Technology Division, have been asked to submit budget orders.

On Tuesday, State and Frontier Regions Division, Maintenance Allowances to Ex-Rulers and Afghan Refugees, Water Resources would submit budget.

On Wednesday, Staff Household Allowances of the president, Audit Department, Supreme Court of Pakistan, Islamabad High Court have been asked to submit budget orders, while on Thursday, the ECP, Wafaqi Mohtasib and Federal Tax Ombudsman would submit their budget orders.
