Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Establishment Mohammad Shehzad Arbab has taken strong exception to a news item "Civil Servant settles for demotion to SAPM" appeared in Business Recorder on April 12, 2020.

The SAPM has clarified that he was communicated well in time the decision of changing his position from Advisor to SAPM while maintaining the status of Federal minister and that he honours every decision of the Prime Minister.

He described the reporting "highly unethical" and against the "canons of professional journalism".

"The reporter seems to have merely relied and based the story on his source without trying to contact the official spokesperson or the SAPM on his personal phone number, the SAPM said and added that he has not received a single call from the reporter," according to the clarification.
