(Karachi) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Usman Dar has said that more than 400,000 youth got themselves registered in prime minister's Corona Relief Tigers' force during the last two days.

Speaking to media persons on Friday, Dar said that more than 9,000 women have also registered to join the force from across the country.

He mentioned that 276,000 volunteers joined the Tiger Force from Punjab, 62,839 from Sindh, 52,171 from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, 3,013 from Balochistan, 6,408 from Islamabad, 4,173 from Azad Kashmir and 1,549 from Gilgit-Baltistan.

Dar said the PM want to engage the youth in the fight against COVID-19, keeping in view their enthusiasm and efficiency that they had showed in the past at the time of natural calamities.

Earlier, the government established Corona Relief Tigers' Force which will work in coordination with the Pakistan Army and other authorities in wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

The PM said the force would work in collaboration with district administrations to look after the affairs of quarantine centers. He highlighted that in emergency situation, it would also ensure uninterrupted food supply to the less-privileged people at their doorsteps.

Imran urged youth to join Corona Relief Tigers' Force as part of a step to help deserving and poor people in Pakistan.
