Forth women handicraft bazaar was organised with aim to build market linkages and promote their manufacturing products in a befitting manner. The event was jointly organized by Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WCCI) Peshawar and Government Polytechnic Institute For Women Peshawar, according to a press release issued here on Sunday.

Ms Farah Aqil Shah along Ms Fitrat Ilyas Bilour, the WCCI founding leader and Ms Rukhsana Nadir, the chamber president formally inaugurated the women handicraft bazaar during a simple and colorful ceremony. They took keen interest in women handmade products by visiting different stalls, set up during the women trade fair activity.

Large number of women visitors thronged to trade fair and took keen interest in their handmade work, which was continued from 9am to 5 PM in the lush green garden of the government technical and vocational Centre for Women in Peshawar.

The visitors took keen interest in diverse varieties of women handmade stuffs, including handicraft, cosmetic, bedsteads, precious stones and jewelry, which were put on display at different stalls during the day-long handicraft bazaar. The participants lauded the active participation of women businesspersons in the handicraft bazaar.

Farah Aqil Shah hailed the women chamber for holding of 4th women handicraft and hoped that it would be beneficial of women entrepreneurs to establish their market linkages for promotion of finished products.

While speaking on the occasion, Ms Rukhsana Nadir said the WCCI is regularly organizing handicraft bazaar with aim to promote handmade stuff of women in open market. She said the women chamber will continue its role by holding such event in future as well.

WCCI chief emphasized the need for establishment close linkages businesswomen to market their finishing products with efficient manner. She said the WCCI will hold further such event to market the women handicraft in benefiting manner.

She said women in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are very talented as they have ability to excel every field, but women are required proper platform and opportunities to show their skill work and abilities. So, she said WCCI platform is available for them and promote their finishing products through such event in efficient manner.
