The meeting between a group of 'disgruntled' PTI lawmakers and Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar which was scheduled for Thursday has been postponed due to CM's busy schedule.

PTI MPA Sardar Shahabuddin who has been elected as MPA on PTI ticket from PP-263 (Layyah-II) claimed that 20 MPAs have joined hands to raise their "genuine concerns" before the party leadership. About MPAs belong to the South Punjab and others hail from centre/north Punjab, he said, adding: "We have neither created any forward bloc nor planning to give tough time to the party leadership."

This group under the banner of "Supremacy of Parliament" had earlier met chief minister Usman Buzdar twice and explained their concerns. They also held informal meeting in Punjab assembly and discussed future strategy, the sources said.

Spokesperson Punjab government Mussarat Jamshed Cheema has said that Governor Punjab, Chief Minister Punjab, PTI and assembly members of its allied party PML-Q are on one-page and all the stakeholders are working according to their constitutional framework.

In a statement, she said that some PTI assembly members have not formed any forward block and rumour of forming the forward block is baseless and negation of facts. The assembly members of PTI and PML-Q have trust over the leadership of Chief Minister Usman Buzdar who is the chief executive of the province and using his powers according to the constitution.

The CM maintained that Governor Punjab Ch. Muhammad Sarwar is also performing his duties according to the constitutional authority. There is the best working relationship among the stakeholders of Punjab government, she said, adding: "The rumour-mongers are conspiring to stop the journey of development."
