Fatima Fertilizer in partnership with the Equestrian Federation of Pakistan announced that they are all set to host the third Sarsabz National Tent Pegging Championship 2019 in Lahore to take place at the Polo and Tent Pegging ground of the Headquarters of Sutlej Rangers (Punjab) in Lahore.
The championship will commence with a special opening ceremony on Monday (November 11, 2019) followed by a series of competitions and special entertainment activities which will continue till Friday, November 15, 2019.
Over 1200 riders and 300 teams from around the country are likely to thrill the audience during this five-day gut wrenching event.
"It is the only sport in Pakistan which found a unique way of celebrating Pakistan's cultural diversity whereby each horse rider originating from a specific province dresses up according to his local cultural attire. This is specifically true in case of the style of turban worn by these tent peggers. I urge all residents and citizens of Lahore to experience this unique sport and enjoy the thrill it offers," said Dr Farooq Ahmed, President of the Equestrian Federation of Pakistan.
