A delegation of the European Union (EU) will visit Indian-occupied Kashmir (IoK) on tomorrow to take account of the situation in the region following India's decision to revoke Article 370 from its constitution.
The 28-member delegation of the EU parliamentarians arrived in India on Sunday. They were briefed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and National Security Advisor Ajit Dova about the issue of Kashmir and the situation there after the abrogation of Article 370, ANI reported.

Following the decision, former IoK CM Mehbooba Mufti's daughter Iltija Mufti tweeted from her mother's Twitter handle and said that why can the Indian government also allow US senators to visit the valley. "Won’t be surprised if Government of India is indulging in normalcy acrobatics again and orchestrating ‘normalcy’ certificates," she tweeted.
If 28 European Parliament members are allowed to take stock of situation in Kashmir, wonder why the same courtesy can’t be extended to American senators. Won’t be surprised if GOIs indulging in normalcy acrobatics again & orchestrating ‘normalcy’ certificates.

Iltija added that she hopes the European Parliament delegation get a chance to speak to the people, local media, doctors and civil society members. "The iron curtain between Kashmir and the world needs to be lifted and Government of India must be held accountable for pushing IoK into turmoil," she added.
India imposed a curfew in occupied Kashmir after stripping off the special status given to the valley. Internet and pre-paid connections have been suspended in the region, with several politicians put under house arrest.
