EU 2019/20 soft wheat exports 3.6mn T by Sept. 1

PARIS: European Union soft wheat exports in the 2019/20 season that started on July 1 had reached 3.6 million tonnes (mn t) by Sept. 1, official data showed on Monday.

That was 20pc above the volume cleared by Aug. 26 last year, the data showed.

EU 2019/20 barley exports had reached 1.1mn t, down 5pc from the year-earlier period.

EU 2019/20 maize imports stood at 3.6mn t, up 74pc from the year-earlier period.
