KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah awarded promotion badges to newly promoted two Additional Inspector General (AIGPs) and 19 SPs at a ceremony here on Monday.

The CM Sindh awarded badges for promotion from Deputy Inspector General of Police to AIGs to Ghulam Nabi Memon and Imran Yaqoob Minhas, said a statement.

The ceremony was attended by Chief Secretary Sindh Mumtaz Ali Shah, Inspector General of Sindh police (IGP) Dr Syed Kaleem Imam, Principle Secretary to CM Sajid Jamal Abro and others.

The CM Sindh also awarded promotion badges to officers promoted from the post of DSP to SP namely Asim Ali Bhutto, Noorul Hawa Rind, Nasim Akther, Khalid Khan, Ejaz Bhatti, Zulifqar Abbasi, Mohib Khan, Saleem Siddique, Ejazuddin, Ahmed Baig, Sher Khan Rind, Mahad Yaqoob Durrani, Hassan Kheskheli, Shamoon Rehan, Jawed Ibrahim, Tofeeq Ahmed, Shakeel Ahmed Jamil Siddqiue and Rao Aslam.

Addressing the occasion, the CM Sindh said that the recent promotions of the officers is acknowledgment of their services.

Syed Murad Ali Shah also expressed confidence that the promoted officers will play a vibrant role in maintenance of law and order in Sindh and perform their duties with dedication.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Secretary Sindh congratulated the officers on their promotions to next grade.

The IGP Sindh said that this is first time that the Sindh Government has granted promotions to 19 DSPs to the post of SP.
