KARACHI: Kimihide Ando, General Manager for Pakistan, Mitsubishi Corporation, has been elected as the President of the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI) for the year 2013.
This was announced at the 153rd Annual General Meeting of the OICCI held at the Chamber on Thursday, January 31, 2013. Asad S. Jafar, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Philips Electrical Industries of Pakistan Limited, was elected as the Vice President. The other elected members of the OICCI Managing Committee for 2013 are as follows:
Adnan Siddiqui (IBM Pakistan), Atif Aslam Bajwa (Bank Alfalah Limited), Faisal Sabzwari (Procter and Gamble Pakistan Pvt. Limited), Irfan Siddiqui (Meezan Bank Limited), M. Asif Saad (Lotte Pakistan PTA Limited), Omar Y. Sheikh (Shell Pakistan Limited), Saad Amanullah Khan (Gillette Pakistan Limited) and Zafar Iqbal Sobani (Hub Power Company Limited).
Kimihide Ando is General Manager for Pakistan, Mitsubishi Corporation. He joined Mitsubishi Corporation, Japan in 1982. Besides Japan, Ando has worked in many countries including Egypt, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Indonesia and twice in Pakistan. His first tenure in Pakistan was from 1998 till 2003. He has returned to Pakistan in April 2010 as head of Mitsubishi Corporation Pakistan and is also on the board of Engro Polymer & Chemicals Limited and Tri-Pack Films Limited.
