Pakistan World Cup squad: Decision needed on one player, says Arthur

Pakistan cricket head coach Mickey Arthur has said that the management is close to finalise the World Cup squad of Pakistan, revealing that there is ‘one decision’ that they need to make on a player, while the others are sorted out.

"We're very close (to finalising the World Cup squad). Inzimam and I have met regularly and we're close. I'd probably say there's one decision we have to make on a player, the others are sort of signed and sealed,” said Arthur.

Talking about the upcoming tour of England, which would be just before the World Cup 2019, Arthur said that the tour would be a ‘training camp’ for the Men in Green

“In essence, the England tour is going to be a bit of a training camp for us. We're going to work the guys hard throughout that tour. We're going to need the guys peaking on May 31 for the World Cup game against West Indies," he said.

The head coach also expressed concern over the mediocre bowling display by his side especially in the death overs. "I'm not going to sugarcoat it, we've got a lot of work to do with the bowling. Our death-bowling hasn't been good over the last year," he said.

Pakistan would tour England in May to play one T20 and five ODIs, which would be their final series before the ICC World Cup 2019.
