The Functional Committee on Government Assurances on Monday took strict notice of the 17th consecutive absence of Minister for Law and Justice Farogh Naseem. The committee showed displeasure regarding the callous attitude of the minister towards the important issue pertaining to employment quota in Pakistan.
The committee recommended that a letter regarding non-attendance of minister in-charge as an ex officio member be written to the chairman Senate so that a stern action against the minister for law and justice be initiated. The committee also took serious notice of the absence of secretary Ministry of Law and Justice too. The committee also decided to move a privilege motion against the minister for law and justice and secretary law.
