On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,034. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 19.110 billion and the number of lots traded 14,258. Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 6.868 billion followed by DJ PKR 5.550 billion, Gold PKR 4.011 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.050 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 676.578 million, SP500 PKR 425.715 million, platinum PKR 260.457 million, silver PKR 125.978 million, copper PKR 72.615 million, natural gas PKR 42.715 million, Palladium PKR 24.508 million and Brent crude oil PKR 1.781 million. In agriculture commodities 5 lots of wheat valued at PKR 20.474 million and 29 lots of cotton valued at PKR 15.732 million were traded.
