On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,832. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 2.780 billion and the number of lots traded 4,470. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 669.279 million followed by NSDQ100 PKR 646.765 million, currencies through COTS PKR 507.684 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 406.282 million, platinum PKR 191.823 million, silver PKR 148.647 million, DJ PKR 130.553 million, SP500 PKR 38.258 million, natural gas PKR 28.474 million, copper PKR 9.523 million and Brent crude oil PKR 3.516 million.
In agriculture commodities 37 lots of cotton valued at PKR 39.636 million were traded.
