Gas infrastructure in the country would be improved with an objective to improve efficiency standards. Federal Minister for Petroleum Ghulam Sarwar Khan said this on Thursday while chairing a meeting that reviewed the current status of gas infrastructure in the country. The minister stated that sustainable energy was vital and a strategic requirement of the country. All infrastructure projects in the oil and gas sector would be completed in a phased manner.
The meeting comprehensively reviewed the past, present and future forecasting of the country's energy demand and supplies. Moreover, issues pertaining to various gas infrastructure projects were also discussed. The minister further stated that energy was a vital catalyst to any country's economic future and prosperity.
